Even if you have no experience, you can work with confidence because your seniors will give you thorough guidance.
What made you decide to join the company?
That's how I first found out about SHIMADA. When I happened to see the SHIMADA sign in town, I thought to myself, "Maybe one day I'll work here!" and for some reason I felt like it was fate.
I myself used to be an automobile mechanic and wanted to get back to working with machines, so when I found a job posting for the SHIMADA Manufacturing Department, I thought, "This is the company I saw on the sign!" and applied without hesitation, even though I had no experience.
In addition to the work itself, SHIMADA also has a lot of holidays, so I find the environment rewarding and rewarding while maintaining a good work-life balance very appealing.
What is your current job?
I work as a production operator.
If you don't work well with the machines, things won't go smoothly, so I'm always thinking about how to make production go smoothly.
If you take your eyes off the machine for even a second, it can easily break down, so you can't let your guard down for even a second. When a problem occurs, you have to investigate the cause to find out what is causing it. You're often surprised to find that the cause is something like this! There's a lot to learn every time a problem occurs.
In addition, when we finish making one product, we have to switch to making another product. The backing paper is also different, so it takes time and it's a struggle, but it's also worth it because it increases my knowledge and experience.
What is rewarding about your job?
I feel a strong sense of responsibility and that my role is very important, and it's not something that just anyone can do, which is why I feel it's rewarding. Although I've only just joined the company, I'm able to do more every day and I'm enjoying my work every day.
I also often have to check the machines to find the cause of a problem and fix it, or switch lines. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when the switchover goes smoothly and production continues without any issues afterwards.
Recently, when I visit a store and see the products I made on display, I feel an indescribable joy. I will continue to do my best to ensure that people who need my products can use them with peace of mind.
What's good about SHIMADA?
Everyone here is very warm and it's a very easy place to work.
It's easy to ask questions about things I don't understand, and my seniors provide solid guidance and support, so I can work without the fear of making mistakes.
What I like about this company is that not only the factory but the whole company is clean.
Above all, I can work while prioritizing my personal life, which is extremely helpful for me as I am raising a child.
Message for job seekers
I am so glad that I was able to find a job at SHIMADA and I am grateful every day. I joined the company with no experience, but my seniors have been providing me with thorough guidance on the job content and other aspects, so I can work with peace of mind.
As I become able to do more and work more smoothly, I feel like I am growing as a person, which makes my work very rewarding.
I think this is the perfect job for someone who wants a rewarding job while also valuing work-life balance.
