What made you decide to join the company?

The president (current chairman) of SHIMADA and the sales staff who came to the gas station where I worked part-time were always very cheerful and made a good impression on me. I was also impressed by how the sales staff always kept their company cars clean.
I wanted to work in the manufacturing industry, so I wanted to learn the basics of production by operating machines and experiencing manufacturing. Another factor that made me decide to work there was that it was close to my home.

What is your current job?

I gained experience in the manufacturing department and am currently working in the purchasing and logistics department.
In purchasing, we mainly procure the materials that are the basis of our products. We manage inventory and develop materials. In logistics, we manage to ensure that products are shipped to customers without any mistakes.

What is rewarding about your job?

I feel rewarded when the materials I purchase are processed in the manufacturing department, turned into products, and delivered to customers for use.
We also place great importance on building and maintaining good relationships with our suppliers.

What's good about SHIMADA?

The cafeteria and terrace are well equipped, making it easy for employees to communicate with each other. There are also opportunities to regularly share opinions and suggestions, and the company has a good atmosphere.
