What made you decide to join the company?

Frankly speaking, the deciding factor for me to join the company was the excellent employee benefits package and my interest in manufacturing. When I had the opportunity to tour the factory during the selection process, the atmosphere was great and I felt strongly that I wanted to work here too, seeing the employees working enthusiastically. I was convinced that in this environment I would be able to utilize my abilities and grow together with my colleagues, so I decided to join the company. Now I realize that this was the right choice.

What is your current job?

Currently, as the manager of Section 1 of the Manufacturing Department, I am in charge of production management for the entire site, maintaining and improving quality, and instructing on safety. In addition to checking the progress of daily production plans, I also focus on creating an environment where workers can work efficiently and safely. I also manage the site to keep it running smoothly, including responding to problems when they occur and promoting improvement activities.

What is rewarding about your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is when we work together as a team and achieve our goal. In the manufacturing department, each member plays their own role while working as a team towards our goal. In particular, when we improve efficiency or see the effects of improvements, we all feel a sense of accomplishment that we can all share, and that moment is very rewarding. The sense of accomplishment we feel when we combine our individual strengths to achieve overall results is something that can't be replaced by anything else. In order to achieve this sense of accomplishment, I feel rewarded by constantly making improvements and coming up with new ideas, and being able to contribute as a member of a team.

The best thing about SHIMADA is the environment. The work environment is kept clean and safe, and consideration is given to ensuring that employees can work with peace of mind. Another big attraction is the open atmosphere. There is lively communication with superiors and colleagues, there is an atmosphere where opinions and ideas can be freely exchanged, and cooperation within the workplace is smooth. I feel that working in such an environment allows me to grow as an individual and produce better results.
