The appeal of this company is that you can continue working there even if your life stage changes.
What made you decide to join the company?
I wanted to try out some clerical work, so I looked for jobs at Hello Work.
At that time, I found a job posting at SHIMADA and felt that the atmosphere and work content within the company would suit me. Another deciding factor was that the company had an environment where people could take on challenges even if they had no experience.
What is your current job?
I am in charge of logistics administration in the Purchasing and Logistics Department. I am responsible for a series of tasks, from confirming order details to issuing shipping instructions, checking inventory, entering data into the system, creating shipping labels, and processing sales. In order to deliver products to customers smoothly and accurately, I work closely with not only my department but also the manufacturing and sales departments on a daily basis.
What is rewarding about your job?
At the beginning of the month, we receive two to three times as many orders as usual, so it gets especially busy. We have to process orders accurately within a limited time, which is tough, but we feel a great sense of accomplishment when we finish all the work for the day. The sense of fulfillment we get when we overcome obstacles by working together as a team is also a rewarding aspect of this job.
What's good about SHIMADA?
The appeal of this company is that you can continue working there even if your life stage changes.
I myself have taken maternity leave and childcare leave, and after returning to work, I was able to balance my work and family life by taking advantage of the shortened working hours system. In addition, I can take plenty of time off on weekends and holidays, so it's easy to spend time with my family and for myself, and it's also attractive that it's easy to balance my work and private life. Another nice point is that there is no traffic jam during my commute, so there's less stress.
Message for job seekers
The people around me are all really nice, and it's a warm workplace where they will immediately call out to me and help me when I'm in trouble. I recommend this company because it has a flexible working environment that can flexibly accommodate changes in lifestyle for women.
