What made you decide to join the company?

I wanted to work in my hometown of Shiga Prefecture, so I focused my job search on companies in Shiga Prefecture. I was attracted to SHIMADA because there are no transfers and I can work in a community-based environment. In addition, the fact that I can take time off on weekends and holidays fits my lifestyle, and I felt I could value both my work and my private life. When I actually visited the company, I was impressed by how clean the office was, the bright atmosphere in the workplace, and the polite way the employees treated me, which strengthened my desire to work for this company.

What is your current job?

I belong to the CI Promotion Department, where I am in charge of marketing and public relations. My main responsibilities include managing the company website, creating promotional materials, and planning and editing the company newsletter, playing a crucial role in communicating the company's appeal both internally and externally. In addition, I am also responsible for a wide range of other tasks, such as product development, translation work, and acting as a liaison with overseas customers.

What is rewarding about your job?

I feel a sense of accomplishment when a project I've been involved in is completed and takes shape. Most projects don't go smoothly and are always full of challenges. There are many times when things don't go as planned, but we overcome them through trial and error. That's why when we receive positive feedback on the results, we feel an even greater sense of fulfillment and it motivates us for the next project. For example, recently, the CI Promotion Department launched the brand "Pest Control Professionals' Seal of Approval," and seeing the packages on store shelves made me realize that our work had taken shape, which was a very moving experience.

What's good about SHIMADA?

It's an environment where you can propose what you want to do, with management and superiors who support you, and colleagues who cooperate with you. In fact, I have been given many opportunities to put my ideas into practice, such as planning the company newsletter and proposing new initiatives. Things that would be difficult to achieve alone can be realized with the positive cooperation of those around me, and the synergistic effect allows us to achieve better results. I feel that the biggest attraction of this company is that it has an atmosphere that makes it easy to take on new challenges, and a culture that welcomes challenges.
